Pulp Visions

July 27, 2006

Lint, bits of packing paper, and sunflowers all whirled into a mushy pulp and then poured into a screen become the backdrop for additional bits and pieces of my garden.

As the water drains away the pulp swirls and settles into a mat. I sponge away the water, then wick away moisture, finally it goes to the iron where I press out the last bits of dampness and looking back at me is a mirror of my internal process to create external expressions of my internal visions.

I am in LOVE! In Love with the incipient artist of me… In Love with the mushy feel of pulp… Enchanted by the color changes as the paper dries.

Photos to follow when my digital camera is more cooperative!
