Insight Outsight
February 1, 2008Early last week, I had a cataract removed from my left eye – my good eye. I went into the experience thinking it would be a breeze – and it was – but there were some parts of the process that caught be unaware.
Without clear sight in that eye, and relying on my weak eye, I found myself closing both eyes completely and listening more.
As they wheeled me into surgery – my husband said – now your outersight will be as good as your insight. Both are fuzzy right now as we come into equilibrium.
Preparing for Imbolc!
what an interesting lesson re: listening. Hope the healing continues well.
